Have you ever stayed in an art gallery in one of Spain's most beautiful Pueblo Blancos? 

This penthouse apartment has a large south facing terrace enjoying all day sunshine, with 360 degree sea and mountain views. It is in an ideal location, just a few minutes walk from the historic centre with its beautiful church and cobbled streets.

The apartment is made up of a spacious bedroom with a king size bed (which can be separated to 2 singles if desired), large lounge, a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Large flatscreen TV with English channels, wireless broadband (extra), DVD and air conditioning. Linen is also included.

It is just a few steps away from the large shared pool, set in a garden of tropical flowers and banana trees.

Frigiliana breathes history and its sites include the church, formerly a mosque, and a 2,000 year old roman fountain that still provides a supply of fresh drinking water. A series of plaques on walls around the village tell of a famous battle in the hills above. Fiestas including the excellent Tres Culturas in August and San Sebastian in June take place throughout the year. 

The village has 27 bars and restaurants as well as local grocers, bodegas, craft shops and a new sports centre. It is an ideal base for an activity holiday. There are numerous walks, from a tour of the old town to a hike to 3000m high mountains. It is just a five kilometre drive or one euro bus trip to the pretty beaches and coves of Nerja. Horseriding, tennis, golf and even skiing are just a drive away. The world heritage site of El Alhambra in Granada is an easy and rewarding day trip along one of the most scenic coastal roads in the world.

Rental is from £500 a week and since the invasion of Ukraine we have been donating all profits to Medicins Sans Frontieres.

Andy has exhibited in the Ruta del Arte in Frigiliana, the Hampshire Open Studios, the National Museum of St Helena and his paintings are to be found in collections in the USA, Montserrat in the Caribbean, New Zealand, St Helena and of course Spain and the UK.  Following his exhibition at the St Helena Museum and Art Gallery in December 2014, 15 paintings were purchased and commissioned. Andy is shown (r) alongside the Captains of the RMS St Helena  at the presentation of a painting commissioned by the St Helena Arts and Crafts Association to commemorate the many years of the service that 'the RMS' and its predecessors had provided the Island.
